East Texas Facilities
5 Star Performance has two of the best facilities in all of East Texas to call home, Eastex Performance Academy and The Whataburger Sports Complex. Members of our teams get full access to both these facilities for Team practices as well as their individual use. ETPA is open to the general public and does offer memberships to anyone. The Whataburger Sports Complex will be home for 5 Star Performance as well as the Kilgore Boys Baseball Association Spring League. Additionally, the complex will host several tournaments and other events throughout the year.
EasTex Performance Academy
EasTex Performance Academy is a 10,000 Sq Ft facility located in Kilgore, Texas that has had nearly 1,000 clients walk through the doors since its inception in 2017. 6 full size cages along with the largest and most experienced staff in East Texas. The staff has trained athletes from all over Texas including over 100 players who have committed to play at the next level. The facility is open to any and all baseball and slow pitch/fast pitch softball players in the area. You don’t not have to be a member to access our many amenities.

The Whataburger Sports Complex
The Whataburger Sports Complex is a multi-million dollar six-field baseball complex that is a Collaboration between the City of Kilgore, 5 Star Performance, and the naming rights sponsor Whataburger. 5 Star Performance was named the official operator as of January 1st, 2020. The complex is nestled right in the middle of Kilgore in a beautiful wooded area and right across from Driller Park.
The Whataburger Sports Complex is a modern high quality baseball facility, which includes:
- Concession Stand
- High-mast field lighting
- Open space seating areas for lawn chairs
- Restroom facilities
- Stadium seating with a capacity of 360
- Walking path to each field throughout the complex
- Two parking lots on either side of the complex with entrances at both
- Multiple anchors on each field for different base lengths as well as mobile turf mounds
- Pavilion with picnic tables
- Six baseball fields
- Two 160-foot fields
- Two 225-foot fields
- Two 300-foot fields
5 Star Performance plans to continue to further develop this complex with major upgrades coming to the playing surfaces of each field, as well as extensive changes coming to the Concession stand and the menu.
